Graduating with a degree and Masters in English Literature, and a long standing love affair with novels, it stood to reason that whatever she was going to do involved writing and storytelling of some kind. Two years in Cairo at the start of the Arab Spring gave her all the stories she needed, and after a few years of revolution, Salma found herself in the quieter, if not equally turbulent, world of recruitment in London.
Working at one of the cities global firms as Bid and Content Manager, she implemented marketing strategies to drive SEO and online revenue, while managing content for the business development pipeline across the UK & Ireland, Europe and Asia PAC.
The desire to build something finally took over and she packed her corporate bags and headed off into the world of startups. Working at a venture capital fund as head of marketing and social media, she spent the next year rolling up her sleeves and building a business. The eternal revolutionary in her then trotted off once more to build her own business, Digitally Human. She now spends her days working with companies in the UK and USA crafting courageous content and compelling strategies that tell stories. Not the corporate, jargon filled narratives, but the real, beating hearts of the business world.
If you need her, cake is always the way to reach her.
